The Story Behind Kerala Curry House
We are a Kerala kitchen with a Manchester postcode — cooking the curries, biryanis and breads of South India for people who want real, honest flavour on a weeknight.
Our Story
Kerala Curry House began with family recipes carried from the coast of Kerala to Manchester. Our chefs grew up around wood-fired kitchens where shallots, curry leaves and freshly grated coconut were the start of every meal, and where a curry was judged by its aroma long before the first taste.
Today we cook those same dishes for the city — from our kitchen on Higher Ardwick, packed fresh and ready for collection or delivery. Nothing is mass produced; each gravy is built the traditional way, in small batches, throughout the day.

Our Food
Authenticity lives in the details: whole spices roasted and ground in-house, coconut oil for tempering, and cooking methods that take their time. A Malabar biryani is layered and sealed; a beef ularthiyathu is roasted until the masala clings to every piece; a fish curry is finished with kokum for that unmistakable coastal tang.
We keep our menu focused on the dishes Kerala is loved for, so that each one is made properly, with fresh ingredients and the spice balance it deserves.
